Searching for a full time job is a full time job. No one knows that better than me. My full time job is assisting longtime job seekers utilize the tools they need to find suitable employment in this very difficult labor market. On top of that, I have been laid off twice myself.

Critical to planning any job search is knowing what the labor market is looking  like for your local area. Looking in vain for jobs that are not in demand will  probably yield few positive results.

The first step in developing a job search plan is researching the job market. Identifying whether your occupation is demand gives you an idea of how to steer your job search. 

All too often job seekers view job hunting as a RE-active activity,  whereas job seekers find most success in being PRO-active in researching and finding successful career paths. This requires knowing your target, or the occupation you're looking for, including the skills and qualifications needed  for the job, and then targeting your resume and cover letter to adequately reflect those qualifications.

University with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education teaching Earth and  Physical Sciences.
